Anambra State Road Traffic Management Agency

Special Address By The M.D/C.E.O Engr. Okonkwo Emeka To Ndi Anambra (November 4th 2022)

ARTMA Report 16 Dec, 2022

Dear Anambra road users,

For over 8 weeks, Governor Chukwuma Soludo led administration has, through ARTMA, worked so hard to alleviate the suffering encountered by road users as a result of traffic gridlocks in major parts of the state.

Palliatives have been done on major bad spots on the federal roads which include but not limited to Toll Gate Junction Ogidi, Tarzan Junction, Upper Iweka, Eze Uzu Junction by Immigration awka, Bridge Head and Relief Market, Onitsha. All thanks to Anambra State Road Traffic Maintenance Agency, ARTMA, led by Engineer Nduka and the Commissioner for Works, Engineer Okoma.

Hundreds of kilometers of roads have also been flagged off for construction.

These palliative works have to a large extent helped ARTMA in discharging its duties since cars move faster in such areas.

As we approach the festive period, we urge ndi Anambra (Anambra citizens) to continue to obey road signs and quit parking on major roads to avoid obstructing other road users.

Our officers will always be on ground to enforce the rules.

We assure ndi Anambra (Anambra citizens) that a continuous training program for our men is ongoing and we have also been working hard to pick out the bad ones.

If you feel you were apprehended wrongly, please do not try to assault our officers, take note of the unique number on the officer’s vest and cap, drive your vehicle to our nearest office with them, do not attempt to bribe them.

Once at the office, call 08144228836 or 08081953091 for prompt response only if you feel wrongly apprehended. Please do not call if you were driving on a wrong route (one way).

We will immediately request for the video of your offense from the officers and analyze it.

Ndi Anambra, let us all continue to support Governor Charles Chukwuma Soludo in his quest to build a liveable and prosperous homeland.
