Building Materials Ogidi U-Turn Spot Finally Barricaded
Having ruminated on the permanent solution to stop the gridlock on the building materials Ogidi section of Onitsha-Enugu Express way, ARTMA team led by the MD/CEO Engr. Emeka Okonkwo (Konti Komplete) decided to barricade the “u turn” spot with concrete median.
Having barricaded it with concrete median, any vehicle going to Onitsha from Ugwu Nwasike, Ogidi will turn at the toll gate Ogbunike. Any vehicle heading to Ugwu Nwasike Ogidi from Awka will now make a “u turn” at New Parts Nkpor’s fly-over or Ziks round about.
By this measure, free flow of traffic was witnessed again in that section today as it was yesterday.
Next step is for ARTMA team to move to new parts flyover and Ziks round about to ensure there is free flow of vehicle for easy access for vehicles to make “u turn”.
It was indeed an exercise that made motorists cheer the ARTMA team.
