ARTMA Trains Staff On Satisfactory Service To Anambra Citizens, Seeks To End Fear Of Agbero (Touts) Infiltration
The Anambra Road Traffic Management Agency (ARTMA), on the 29th of March 2023, commenced a 3-day officer training at the NYSC Orientation Camp Umuawulu, Awka.
The exercise is led by the CEO/MD of ARTMA, Engr. Emeka Okonkwo (Konti Komplete), and the General Manager of ARTMA, Mr. Chidi Umezinwa.
The theme of the exercise is “Changing The Face Of ARTMA In Traffic Management / Control“. The training is meant for ARTMA permanent staff, as well as over 180 ad-hoc officers.
While addressing the officers, Engr. Emeka Okonkwo said:
The essence of this 2023 training is to guide officers into the adoption of an excellent work ethic so that we will have a better relationship with road users and know what to do and when to do it.
He also assured that the term and allegations that “Agberos (Touts) work for ARTMA” must end after the training because the officers will be well drilled and trained to serve the citizens of Anambra better.
Also, there will be an accurate database of ARTMA officers and ad-hoc staff, and serious measures would be taken to avoid infiltration.
