ARTMA REPORT

Thursday, 8th June 2023

We started up with the decongestion and mounting of signs around Unizik junction on the Onitsha-bound road.

Henceforth, all interstate and shuttle drivers should use the front of 048 Eatery as their bus stop [signs installed]. In the coming few days, a proper bus stop will be constructed there.

After several demand notices, radio adverts, and mobile announcements, our enforcement team visited the Abuja Park axis of Upper Iweka where transporters especially luxury buses load on the road thereby causing gridlocks and making life difficult for road users.

Next, was the Nkpor roundabout, all buses, and Keke riders have been moved into the park beside Paxs Pharmacy, and proper signs were installed.

We apprehended all the Keke riders that have turned the Borromeo bus stop into a loading bay leaving their designated park empty.

Bus stops are for pick and drop and ARTMA will ensure strict adherence.

Finally, we were at Afor Nkpor to also install the ‘KEEP MOVING’ signs and addressed the traffic light complaints we get.

SOLUTION IS HERE!
