The Anambra State Road Traffic Management Agency (ARTMA) held a state-wide parade today to express gratitude to the Governor of Anambra State, Prof. Charles Chukwuma Soludo CFR, for his swift action in the payment of the minimum wage.
“We never expected it to happen so fast,” many ARTMA officers shared, reflecting their pleasant surprise and appreciation.
During the event, the Managing Director/CEO of ARTMA, Engr. Okonkwo Emeka-Konti, took the opportunity to highlight the Governor’s consistent support for the agency’s operations. He reminded the officers that it is now their duty to reciprocate this support by ensuring that Anambra remains peaceful and orderly, especially during the upcoming festive period. Engr. Okonkwo emphasized the importance of the agency’s role in ensuring a smooth and traffic-free festive period, similar to the success achieved in 2023.
The festive period traffic control and management plan was also outlined, with emphasis on the collective effort required to maintain the state’s reputation for safety and order during the holidays.
The ceremony, held at the ARTMA headquarters in Awka, was filled with joy and excitement as officers celebrated, danced, and showed their commitment to supporting the Governor’s vision for a well-managed, traffic free and peaceful Anambra State.
