ARTMA Boss Engr. Okonkwo Emeka (Konti Komplete) Thanks Governor Soludo For His Support, Says The Governor Has Brought Traffic Sanity To Anambra State

The Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of Anambra State Road Traffic Management Agency (ARTMA), Engineer Emeka Okonkwo (Konti Komplete) says Governor Chukwuma Soludo‘s strong support to the agency has been very helpful to the current sanity witnessed on Anambra roads.

Engineer Okonkwo who stated this during an interview to discuss successes recorded by the agency during the Christmas and new year celebrations, explained that the governor has continued to show sincere determination to tackle the worrisome traffic situation which existed in the state.

He said that the traffic ease which was witnessed during the yuletide and new year festivities on most roads that had become notorious for heavy gridlocks, was as a result of seamless measures introduced by ARTMA, including recruitment of volunteers and ad hoc workers, consistent road monitoring and traffic surveillance, installation of roads signs, introduction of twenty-four-hour customer service line, and severe fines for traffic offenders, among others.

The ARTMA MD/CEO also stated that through collaborative work system, the agency has been able to work with sister regulatory agencies to lay smart work plans to sanitize Anambra’s traffic system, while road users are now taking road rules more seriously.

Engineer Okonkwo further stated that the agency has taken severe steps to get rid of bad eggs among the enforcement team, explaining that he is determined to bring total transformation to the agency in both human capacity building and work welfare.
